Junior Plant Operator
DUTIES:
- Operate crane and forklift to unload raw coils from truck trailers
- Loading of full transport reels and unloading of empty transport reels onto/off of transport trailers
- Assist in coil welding process by loading raw coils onto pre-straightener
- Cut quality control samples for testing
- Stamp Pro-Rod accessories and twist wire
- Assist Senior Operators in the maintenance of equipment
- Housekeeping duties
- Fill out appropriate paperwork
- Assist in monthly and quarterly inventory counts
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Fork-lift course, crane course, rigging course, or mobile crane ticket would be beneficial
- Internal training
- Safety training
- WHMIS training
- Being organized and flexible
- Ability to work independently
- Have skill to multi-task
- Strong interpersonal and communication/listening skills
- Cutting torch
- Small tools
- Ability to follow instructions
